How long will my child be in feeding therapy?
A child’s progress in feeding therapy depends on factors such as age, underlying medical or sensory needs, severity of the feeding difficulty, frequency of therapy sessions, regular attendance, family involvement, and at-home practice.
We will monitor your child’s progress and make adjustments to their treatment plan when necessary. Some children may receive services for a few months, while other
children receive services for longer, as they work up to a fully varied and independent diet.Schedule an evaluation to get started!
How often will my child need feeding therapy?
The frequency of sessions is up to you as the caregiver. We can provide feeding therapy as frequently (multiple times a week), or infrequently (every other week) as you would like. After your evaluation, The Child Inspired will provide a recommendation based on the needs of your child, and together we will discuss and agree upon a frequency that works with your preference and lifestyle.

How can feeding therapy benefit my child?
Feeding therapy can help expand the variety of foods and textures your child accepts, build oral-motor and chewing skills, reduce mealtime stress for the whole family, and support healthy growth and nutrition.
How do I know if my child needs feeding therapy?
If your child has a very limited range of accepted foods, gags or chokes frequently during meals, struggles to transition to new textures, refuses entire food groups, or if mealtimes have become a source of stress or conflict, feeding therapy may be beneficial.
